The Rhythm Kings

The Rhythm Kings

From an era when Rhythm and Blues meant Fats Domino and Etta James and not Beyonce and Usher, The Rhythm Kings show that great music still lives on.

Originally formed by ex Rolling Stones bass player Bill Wyman they perform as a band that not only stand up as a great unit in their own right but as the best band that one could ask to be the house band on the Pirate Beat Boat Cruise to accompany our international guest stars! This set of virtuoso musicians superbly bring back to life the classic rhythm and blues that first inspired Wyman to pick up the guitar. They include Terry Taylor on guitar, Geraint Watkins on keyboards and vocals, Graham Broad on drums, Frank Mead and Nick Payn on horns & harmonica, Greg Harewood on bass as well the amazing vocalist Beverly Skeete.

The Rhythm KingsAlthough the Rhythm Kings have been described as basically good friends, hanging out, playing the music they love and taking it on the road and hoping that others will enjoy it too! They have between them played and recorded with many major international artistes who also enjoy and appreciate their incredible virtuosity.

These include Van Morrison, Dr. Feelgood, Rory Gallagher, Carl Perkins, Eric Clapton The Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, The Stray Cats, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Peter Green, Scotty Moore, Paul Carrack, Gary Moore, Lowell Fulson, BB King, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Albert King, Albert Collins, Squeeze, Al Green, Lonnie Donegan. James Brown, Marvin Gaye and Barry White to name but just a few!
