Kenny Clayton

Kenny Clayton , affectionately known to friends and fans as “KC”, is simply one of the best pianists in the country. His work as one of our finest musical directors has teamed him with such artists as Shirley Bassey, Charles Aznavour, Dick Haymes, Sacha Distel, Matt Monro and Petula Clark (with whom he still embarks on international tours).

Throughout the 60s and 70s he was musical director and arranger to a number of stars including Petula Clarke, Shirley Bassey, Matt Munro, Cilla Black, Charles Aznavour and Sacha Distel. As a composer, he has written for the films Ragman’s daughter, The Pied Piper, The 14, Brother Sun and Sister Moon, and the Savage Heart. He has scored and recorded incidental music for spoken word albums including Peter O’Toole’s readings of Shakespeare Ballads and Sonnets. He was commissioned by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to write the tone poem Il Palio di Siena.

Kenny will be playing in the Captains bar and wherever there is a spare piano!
